Santa Claus unemployed after December?

Is this fake news or the silly season? Well, who knows? I asked myself the same question today.

Yes, I'm fine. I've still got it all figured out. I'm also asking myself if the world still has it all figured out. Political squabbles and wars everywhere.

Okay, it's still winter here, and I don't have much to say, and if I do say something, I'd rather not write anything heavy. Let me know afterward if I need to see a doctor urgently or if you'd like to read more ramblings. For those who still want to know, I looked up some things.

Santa Claus certainly doesn't sit still the rest of the year. According to the stories, he lives at the North Pole (or in Lapland) and, together with his elves, prepares all year long for next Christmas.

These are Santa's main activities after December 25th:

• Rest and recuperation: After a busy Christmas Eve, Santa often takes time in January to relax, enjoy hot chocolate with Mrs. Claus, and give the reindeer a well-deserved rest.

• Toy making and planning: Santa works in his workshop with his elves to create new toys.

• Letter reading: He receives and reads letters from children all over the world throughout the year.

• Updating the "Naughty & Nice" list: He keeps track of which children have been good.

• Researching popular gifts: He checks TV and stores to see which movies, games, and toys are popular so he knows what children will ask for next Christmas.

• Strategic planning: He works in his "Strategy Room" on the flight paths for the next Christmas Eve.

• Maintenance: The sleigh is cleaned and the reindeer are trained.

• Updating the sleigh: He keeps track of which children have been good. In short, it's a full-time job that runs year-round!

There, we're a bit wiser now. Right?... ;-) Until the next blog post. Oddity or reality?
